Abstract

Die Schaffung eines treibhausgasneutralen, umweltgerechten und nachhaltigen Verkehrssystems ist von zentraler Bedeutung für die Zukunft der Mobilität in Deutschland. Insbesondere das Einhalten der international vereinbarten Klimaziele 2030 und 2050 ist von übergeordnetem Interesse. Für den Verkehrssektor bedeutet dies, dass die CO2-Emissionen um 42 % gegenüber dem Jahr 1990 vermindert werden müssen. Standards und Normen sind wichtige Bestandteile eines Maßnahmenpakets zur Erreichung der nachhaltigen Mobilitätsziele. Sie tragen zur Entwicklung von ökonomisch tragfähigen Lösungen bei, die den Ressourcenverbrauch reduzieren, die Umweltbelastungen mindern und den natürlichen Lebensraum schonen. Ebenso dienen sie dem Arbeits- und Gesundheitsschutz der Beschäftigten im Mobilitätssektor sowie der Einhaltung von ethischen Standards und sozialer Verantwortung, etwa beim Abbau von Rohstoffen.The creation of a CO2-neutral, environmentally friendly and sustainable transport system is of utmost importance for the future of mobility in Germany. Compliance with internationally agreed climate goals by 2030 and 2050 is particularly vital in this regard. This means for the transport sector that CO2 emissions will need to be reduced by 42 % compared to 1990. Specifications and standards are key components of a package of measures set out to achieve the sustainable mobility goals. They contribute to the development of economically sustainable solutions which reduce resource consumption, minimize the environmental burden and protect the natural environment. They also help guarantee the health and safety of people working in the mobility sector and comply with ethical standards and social responsibilities, e.g. in the exploitation of natural resources
