Abstract

Das Buch zeigt wie Grundrisse aus den 1960er und 1970er Jahren durch kleine, intelligente Eingriffe an die heutigen Anforderungen der Bewohner angepasst werden können. Im Forschungsprojekt "PixelPlan" des KIT wurde hierzu der Wohnungsbestand analysiert, um konstruktive, typologische und energetische Potenziale aufzuzeigen. Die Minimaleingriffe sind typologisch geordnet, hinsichtlich einer generellen Anwendbarkeit dargestellt und kommentiert.In recent years, the concept of commons has gained popularity, as it promises a more participatory form of governance than state tutelage, and more equity in addressing human needs than the market. This publication explores the struggle for urban commons through a variety of case studies from Berlin to Hyderabad, Santiago and Seoul and asks what is specifically "urban" about them.
