Lkw-Maut: Erste Erfahrungen in Deutschland.

Abstract

Am 1. Januar 2005 wurde in Deutschland erfolgreich die Lkw-Maut gestartet. Seit Aufnahme des Wirkbetriebs arbeitet das technisch hoch innovative System ohne Probleme. Die Fahrzeuggeräte, das Internet, die Mautterminals und das Abrechnungssystem stellen ihre Funktionstüchtigkeit und Leistungsfähigkeit tagtäglich im Wirkbetrieb unter Beweis. Das Bundesamt für Güterverkehr hat die Einhaltung der Bestimmungen nach dem Lkw-Mautgesetz vom ersten Tag an wirkungsvoll und effektiv kontrolliert. Die Einführung der Lkw-Maut stellt eine der strukturellen Reformen dar, die von der Bundesregierung angepackt wurde, um das Verkehrssystem vor dem Hintergrund des anwachsenden Güterverkehrs fit für die Zukunft zu machen, und die bereits kurz nach ihrer Einführung eine immer größere Akzeptanz im In- und Ausland erzielt. difuOn 01.01.2005, Germany successfully introduced the road charges system for heavy trucks. The On-Board Units (OBU) installed in trucks, the internet, toll booths and the accounting system together have functioned properly and proved their functional capabilities during their daily routines. The Federal Office for Freight Transport has, from day one, properly exerted control over the compliance with existing rules as laid down in the law for road user charges. The application of toll charges is one of the structural reforms adopted by the Federal Government to provide a sound base for a future transport system in view of the ever growing volume of freight carried by road.
