Abstract
The offer of external service providers for public transport companies is much larger than it appears at first sight. After the cleaning of vehicles and depots has been outsourced in recent decades, it is now to think about integral facility management solutions. There are already certain service providers on the German market who specialize in flexible oparational models and that are quite capable in providing these system services not only cost-effective but to high quality standards all from a single source as one package. This trend was already recognized in other countries by various public transport companies and implemented accordingly.
