Abstract
This report gives an outlook on three topic areas: first, on current infrastructural projects in the urban railway transport and the regional rail transport. A number of projects is being worked on nationwide and some planning approval processes for further projects are ongoing. By the end of 2016, the state Lower-Saxony, Baden-Wurttemberg and Hessen have agreed or rather launched forward to legislation the restructuring of financial lows in the public transport and the extension of financial support. Finally, the regional bus transport in Thuringia, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower-Saxony has shifted focus into politics. State significant lines being financially supported by the federal states, form the approach to offering a better regional transport system the rural areas as well.
