Therefore the project focused on two affordable housing communities, Hacienda CDC and New Columbia in North and Northeast Portland, where there is growing interest and engagement around bicycling. The main results show that the benefits and burdens of bicycling in Portland are not shared equitably and that dominant-culture organizations do have an incredible opportunity to reach more people and be more effective by increasing their cultural competence.IDSUnderstanding barriers to bicycling projects.
